This has been a very special keep sake for me. My Grandpa was my best buddy and friend and he was a barber for a while. This was one of his straight razors. I know he always had the best of most of his belongings. This razor has its original box which is in remarkably great condition as is the razor which is stamped Wester Bros Solingen Germany. He had a son, my uncle who was in Germany during ww11 and most likely it was sent home by him on one side of the blade is stamped the number 34 and is stamped De-Fi U.S. Pat.off There are four ornament pieces of what I think is brass attached to the handle. On the box it says: Made By Wester & Butz, Merscheid-Solinger, Germany. Pull the two box/holder sections apart and there is a label that says: This razor is sharp and ready for shaving. It has been thoroughly inspected and found to be in perfect condition. Broken or misused razors will not be replaced. (This label is in undamaged condition and fully in tact)
There is also shown here a second straight razor that was my Grandpa’s It has a black handle which is stamped Geneva. The word below is kind of hard to make out but I think is cutlery and below that word it says Geneva New York This razor has minor rust. Inside to the rear of the blasé there is what appears to me made into the shaft of the razor what I would describe as a file
