1930's Antique Furniture
and other antiques and misc. items for sale
Hi folks and thanks for visiting our site. I am Don Harris and my wife is Ellen Harris. We live in south central Indiana four miles west of Bloomington in a small town called Ellettsville. I am 58 years old and quite involved in raising, loving and caring for our bully's.
While serving in the Marine Corps between 1968 and 1972, I fell in love with the Marine mascot, the bulldog. That love has only grown more and more over the years. I bought my first bulldog in 1983. I bought the first one I found for sale not even having any idea that I might want to show her. Later I thought, Huh, I think I should take her to a dog show in nearby Columbus. I went to K-Mart and bought a leather collar with silver studs and a chain lead with a leather loop to hold onto and off to the dog show I went. I was a "Show Person"!! The judge (Marie Andree) took one look at me and asked if this was my first show. I said yes and wondered what made her ask that. She looked at my dog and told me never to bring her in the ring again. I was surprised that she would tell me that and also disappointed. My bitch almost had no bone and a funny looking head. Her ears were never trained to lay right. I must have been a comical sight! Well I never showed her again but I was determined to show again because I got it in my blood. I bred my bitch to some nice champions and had a couple of nice litters. After a few circumstances beyond my control, I had to place my dogs. It broke my heart, but I always knew I would start over and one day show again. Then 7 years ago my dreams of showing bulldogs again came true. I spent 12 months searching diligently on the internet to find a very good puppy to serve as a solid foundation for my new family. Finally I found the right opportunity. I have learned a few things about the breed over the years and it just never ceases to amaze me how I am constantly learning new things about this special breed. I made up my mind from the start that I was going to breed my little girl to the finest dog I could when I had the chance to make the final decision. Cookie's first breeding was decided by her breeders and co-owners. The stud chosen had a great pedigree with lots of champions in his background (47 out of 60). Cookie's next breeding I had the opportunity to decide by myself and I think I made a very wise decision. I am committed to proper breeding and with the goal to produce puppies that are even better in conformation, health, and temperament than their parents. On December 17, 2004, we had a litter out of Ch. Easy Ed's Chazzmo and we produced some really nice puppies with the most dynamite pedigree I have ever seen. I have never seen a pedigree this good, the first 3 generations are all champions. My Cookie is sired by the 1997 National Champion and HOF Ch. Little Pond's Osage Ollie. Ollie's sire is one of the all time great bulldogs, Ch. Millcoats Titus HOF. Cookie's grandsire is Ch. Little Pond's Chief HOF, the all time leading champion producer with over 105 champions sired to date. Chazzmo's sire is Ch. Beauties Amos HOF. There are at least 44 HOF dogs in this puppy's pedigree and several National champions in the first 3 generations. Most breeders who have worked entire lifetimes have not been able to achieve a pedigree nearly as impressive as this one. Good bulldogs come from excellent pedigrees. That is not a claim that all puppies will turn out to be show dogs but your chances are certainly better with the best quality bloodline you can find.
My wife and I are committed to breeding to improve our breed and we will make ourselves available to buyers of our puppies for any advice we can give and we want to stay in contact with our puppy buyers and hear how our babies are developing. If you have any questions that we can't answer we will know someone to refer you to who can. We are never in a hurry to sell our puppies, so be ready if you are interested to answer questions that will be asked to see if you qualify as a potential home for our pups.
Thank you for taking the time to get acquainted and we wish you well in your search for a bully.
Sincerely, Don & Ellen Harris
